Comparing AI platforms

AI platforms for kids: which one fits your child?

ChatGPT, Gemini and Meta AI were built for adults, with protections for the young added later. Heynour was built for a child aged 6 to 14, and parents see every round.

How do you choose an AI platform for your child?

Before you subscribe to any platform, five questions are enough to know whether it fits your child:

  1. Was it built for your child's age?

A seven-year-old needs words, sentences and examples unlike the ones a teenager needs.

  2. Do parents see the conversations?

An alert in danger alone is not enough to know what your child learns every day.

  3. Does it help them think?

A good platform gives a hint and an example before the answer, so they understand and do not copy.

  4. Do parents set the time limits?

A clear daily time the parents choose, and a break when it ends.

  5. Does it speak their language?

Arabic and English, written and spoken, because many young children cannot read easily yet.

Questions parents ask

Is there a ChatGPT for kids?

There is no version of ChatGPT for under-13s. In August 2026 OpenAI launched ChatGPT for Teens for ages 13 to 17, which turns on by itself when the account belongs to a teenager. For younger children there are platforms built for them, such as Heynour for ages 6 to 14.

Is ChatGPT safe for kids, and what is the minimum age?

OpenAI requires users to be at least 13, with parental consent from 13 to 18. Its parental controls let parents link the account, set quiet hours, turn off voice, images and memory, and get an alert in dangerous situations. They do not let parents read their children's conversations.

Can a child under 13 use Gemini?

Yes, with a Google account supervised by the parents through Family Link, once a parent turns Gemini on for the child. Parents can turn it on and off, but Family Link does not show what the child says to Gemini.

Is Meta AI suitable for kids?

Meta AI is inside WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, and these apps require users to be at least 13. Teenagers get PG-13 protections, and in January 2026 Meta paused their access to AI characters. Parents cannot turn off the assistant itself.

What is the best AI platform for kids?

The right platform brings five things together: it was built for your child's age, parents see the conversations, it helps them think instead of copying the answer, parents set its time limits, and it speaks their language. Compare any platform with these criteria before you subscribe.

Do parents see their children's conversations in Heynour?

Yes. Parents find in their app a record of every round, a summary after it, a report every week, and an alert when they are needed. And the child knows their parents see their conversations.
